Louise Wells is an artist working in textiles, who lives in Perth, Western Australia. Her work is often inspired by our untold or hidden stories, the ones we keep close to our hearts. She is fascinated by the contrast and often conflicts between these stories and the person we see. Only through enquiry do we discover the complexity of the journey people have travelled.
Dear Louise, via this magic internet I came across your work and can’t wait to see what you create in future. Cheers from Vancouver, Canada!
Thanks Gordana!
Louise I keep thinking about your beautiful work at stitched and bound! It’s really inspired me..thank you!
Thanks Lesley!
Louise, I am interested in your piece in “Down Under Textiles”, especially the acetate stitched with embroidery thread. What kind of acetate did you use? Thanks, Pat Martin
Hi Pat,
The acetate I used is old overhead projector sheets from my Husband’s office! The sheets are quite thick and hard on your hands for hand stitching. It does work well through a domestic sewing machine too 🙂
Regards,
Louise
