STOP, look and listen. This worn-out sign painted on the footpath in Inglewood 20 years ago taught our kids to safely cross the road. As adults we still need to STOP, think…and do a little of our own research instead of just believing whatever is shared widely or shouted loudly on Facebook.
This work was selected for the City of Stirling Art Awards, and is on show 10 – 4 daily until Sunday 7th November

Materials: Silks, cottons, linen, polyester, woollen blanket backing, DMC threads, machine threads Techniques: Sun dyed with purple carrots, printed, layered, machine stitched, cut away, hand stitched with Colonial Knots.
