Stitched on an old, hand-dyed woollen blanket following the original woven gridlines, Watching Where I Walk is an observation of life in the pavement cracks, first noticed when the winter moss was vivid green. Storms fill the cracks with leaf litter and tiny flowers. I observed the gradual changes through the seasons as the moss faded and weeds took over, eventually yellowing and then disappearing as the heat of the summer sun dried them out. On show at Mundaring Arts Centre in It’s a Matter of How You Look at Things until 3rd April.
