This is the third instalment of The Colour Project 10 years on.
In March, I focused on Yellow, starting with some hand stitching samples, many from the book Threadworks by Effie Mitrofanis. I’ve used cottons, silks and sari strips.
Then I played with some simple prints using commercial and hand made stamps. 
The addition of some chain stitching.
These rather uninteresting samples were a great achievement – after much frustration I managed to get my Singer Treadle machine to stitch. 
I finished with some trials of dying fabric with saffron.
